LOCAL 7 is a very promising group from Grenoble, France ! Patrick ANDRIEU (Guitar, bass & keyboards) and Jean-François GRAVILOFF (Drums & percussions) recorded their first album in the year 2001. And "Substrat" was nevertheless a masterpiece ! On it, this duet wonderfully perform an instrumental Progressive jazz-rock full of invention and originality. Sounding as a whole band, the two musicians unsurprisingly remind of the style's masters such as BRAND X, Allan HOLDSWORTH and SPYRO GYRA, but also of PRIAM for the beautiful guitar lines.
